Hold on as Kilgore takes you for a quick ride in old time Texas ... THE HORSE KILLER is a short page-turner that will spin your imagination and leave you wanting more. THAT is my only gripe....i hope the author considers making this into a fuller, much more fleshed out book. HEAR THIS tv execs.....a series could be made from the combination of Horse Killer and Joe Kilgores brain/imagination!
A Texas Ranger finds the carcass of a horse beaten to death, that happens to be white. One leads to another and the quest to find the killer is on. Oh i want to tell more but i won't! Go get this book and get enveloped by the story.… (más)

AWESOMENESS book award! lol. A history mystery, written as tho the writer was alongside these 3 main characters overseas in WW2. Three individuals who sign up to serve their country, each for their own particular reason. The best part of the book in my opinion was the emergence of personalities as the chapters flowed by....excellently done.

OK, so. Given overnight refuge by a French woman, they awaken to find her brutally murdered. Just the 3 of them in her home.....who done did it??!! A nightmare with questions that stays with each soldier.
The huge twist was a contributor to the 'awesomeness' and i was turning pages so quickly that there are chocolate finger stains all over pages.... Yup, that good.

Follow along the sides of 3 young soldiers, their sweethearts, and their families as they navigate the perils of WWII - both at home and abroad. Although each comes from a different background, Joe Kilgore masterfully entwines the three central characters – young soldiers just trying to survive while on foreign soil and win the war. Unlike many war-time historical fiction we also get a peek into what life is like back home for those our intrepid would-be heroes left behind. Family, friends, lovers, all join to make a moving masterpiece that readers will be unable to put down. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves historical fiction, mysteries, drama, and star-crossed lovesr.… (más)
