Coquelicot is a dark and adventurous story with just enough disjointedness to keep the twists and turns curious and stretching out before the reader. Some of the turns were surprising, some of them were not, and it kept me wondering just a little right up to the end - which was quite satisfying and a wonderful match for the mood of the entire story.
