Disappointing after the previous books in the series. It was very obvious throughout this book (although it probably started in the previous release in hindsight) that the author had lost all interest in the series.

The characters were significantly different than previously and it was a jarring change that did not abate even through the very brief and, in my opinion, dissatisfying epilogue.

I would recommend stopping before reading this. The series was quite good up to this point, but this was a major letdown.… (más)

after a very rough start to the story, it turned into a rollicking barnburner. lots of action, interesting actors with complex rationales. while i know the story needs to move "along", this story seemed to move a bit too easily from a simple-ish dilemma needing a solution to more unlikely and complex machinations every few chapters until the end... still, a very enjoyable book, and i look forward to book 2, "'til it's over"

fwiw, this is one of the first books i've read in a while where, when insomnia hit, the book hit the spot for several hours. i feel like crap the next day, but it was still more fun than counting ceiling dust bunnies at 3am :)… (más)
