The story takes place at sea and, confined on a ship, there is tension between the characters. Christos insists they find the Andvari and refuses to give up, even with Diomedes competing to find the wreckage. The story is adventurous and reads quite young.

Won this in the Early Reviewers giveaway.
I enjoyed the spirit of this story. This is a great adventure story, with intrigue, mystery, heroes, and villains. All of this in spirit.
What this book lacked was good proofreading, and editing. Much of the book was painful to read with grammatical errors and sentences that did not make sense.
There were bits of dialogue that went nowhere.
There were a lot of intriguing ideas that could have been explored to greater lengths that were just dropped.
I liked the characters, and the ideas, but most of it went nowhere. This was more like an outline for a good book than a book itself.
I wish the author had worked a little longer on this instead of rushing it out.
My honest opinion.

A rollicking adventure on the high seas. Protagonist Joseph isn't quite sure that he's ready to settle down, get married, and begin his career as a banker. He has a craving for adventure, so when he discovers the location of a famous shipwreck, the Ironbound, he knows he has to find it. He meets Albert, a down on his luck bounty hunter with a submarine, and puts his inheritance on the line in the hopes of locating the treasure of the Ironbound. Out to sea they go. But this adventure won't be easy, as a group of pirates are hot on their heels. Will they find the treasure and survive this perilous journey? Pick up Ironbound Path and find out.

This is a quick and easy read. Though technically part of a series, it is basically a stand alone novel, with all new characters. I really enjoyed the adventure aspect, but I'm not sure how much I believe in the romance between Joseph and his fiancee Sophia. At the start, they have barely spent any time together, and it just feels like an arranged marriage, but by the end it seems that they are in love? There's not a ton of worldbuilding here, but it's a fun little adventure story nonetheless.
