Nina Kenwood

I feel a connection with Nina Kenwood as I work at the same secondary school she attended but before my time. I loved her first novel, It Sounded "Better in My Head" and this one was nearly as good. I could easily relate to Brooke - the need to clean and be organised, the lists, the researching, choosing what to eat at a restaurant before actually arriving at it and being the buyer of presents. However, I don't think I'm the stress head she was.

There were times I laughed out loud as I read this novel and I loved all the secondary characters with their quirky personalities. The dialogue between Brooke and Jess was a highlight. I always enjoyed them together. Brooke's overthinking of a situation continually had me smiling or shaking my head. She was a very likable and believable protagonist.

Overall, "Unnecessary Drama" was a delightful rom-com to while away a few hours.… (más)
