Sympathetic tale of a lonely mountain lion in California. Deals with the idea of hunters as a threat to the mountain lions' territory and attempts to dispel the idea that mountain lions are predators of livestock, pets, and families. Interesting due to the fact that it was written in 1962, when mountain lions surely had a larger habitat in California than they do today.
