This book is an above average example of the erotic spanking genre, exclusively M/F. It concentrates on the fictional chastisement – frequently very harsh indeed - of young women in early nineteenth century USA, with sexual activity playing a relatively minor part. The narrative is given by a teacher on sabbatical from a young ladies’ college in which corporal correction plays a seminal role, although not to the extent that he finds within the farming communities in which he travels, sending letters back to another teacher in his college. The sluttish behaviour of what seems to be a large proportion of the local young women is locally blamed for poor harvests, and both the judiciary and clergy in those parts conspire to provide stern corporal correction of the supposed culprits, combined with use of their bodies for gratification. The narrator forms amorous attachments to at least two of the unfortunates, and it not averse to using his dominance over them for his personal pleasure. It’s a well-written yarn, and will be appreciated by those who like their chastisements to be vigorous, with strongly erotic overtones.… (más)
