Quilting makes it into the 20th Century. No traditional settings, no traditional patterns, no reliance on the tried and true. Michael James starts over from scratch, using color, and abstraction... forget symmetry. Michael takes the freedom of an art class and treats fabric as just another medium for expressing an artistic idea -- an alternative to oil, pencil, watercolor.
