This is very repetitive and isn't by the editor of Private Eye. But football is repetitive and sad souls go each week to watch their team. This author visits all Scottish league grounds in one season and draws out the real essence of the football fan, the fan who for the most part sits in the cold, the wind and the rain on poor grounds among a handful of spectators. That is real football and is what makes the book interesting. He eats a lot of pies and drinks a lot of Bovril and draws some conclusions about the future of Scottish football - should Celtic and Rangers move away from the Scottish league- should there be all weather pitches. i enjoyed the book.
