There is something time-critical pushing the plot to a very fast pace but the mc and her ghost are constantly bickering which actively stops them from working towards their goal.
Even more frustrating is that at times where they actually would have time to bicker, while riding to some destination or another, which happens constantly, we get one-sentence fast forwards.
I get that this is supposed to have humorous value of sorts but "Haha, this terrible thing is going to happen if we don't manage to do our thing in time but we are bickering over trivialities instead, haha, so funny" just doesn't compute especially because the story tries hard to make us genuinely care about it at the same time.
