Although the characters are engaging and the mystery challenging, this wasn't one of my favorites.

I liked the North Carolina history but this cozy is of a type that I don't care for - those in which the case is solved not by investigation or logic but by intuition, coincindence and confession. Oh well...

Good cozy mystery.

In Wilmington, 3 bodies of men have been dredged from the sea, mutilated.
Meanwhile a guest at a garden party dies during the annual Azalea Festival. Ashley Wilkes decides to investigate this when her client in arrested for the murder.
