The scariest thing about this story is that in reality this kind of thing actually exists. 16 years have passed, and Georgina's death still haunts Kate night and day. Solving this one might just require a magician before time runs out. Blair Howard’s Georgina is a haunting tale of cases unsolved. Telling the tale of a teenager’s murder, the beliefs that follow certain events, the lengths people will go to, and the ticking of the proverbial clock to close a case. A lot of questions, still remain. The Red Moon, that occurred at that time, is about to happen again. Most of the young people, who were friends, with the murdered girl, are still around. Secrets are revealed in only the way, that Kate can manage. It's a read that you will want to finish in one long sitting.… (más)

This book is part of the Harry Starke Genesis series involving cases from the early days of Harry's career when he and Kate were still together. This case finds them in Florida trying to solve a 35-year-old hit and run case that killed 3 people. Harry was hired by the son of one of the victims who wants to know who killed his parents before he himself died. As Kate noted this was not just a cold case, it was frozen. Many of the people involved had since dies. How in the world will Harry solve it? The book has good solid detective work and the usual mishaps and mayhem we see when Harry is involved. As with all Blair Howard's books, I enjoyed this book immensely and can't wait for more. Thanks to the author for giving me an ARC copy.… (más)

This was a fictional account of said battle. It was very dry, as I find much military history. I thought by reading it in novel form it would be more interesting, but not so much! In summary, the Confederates were successful, but at a great price in lives that they could ill afford. Many have said this victory was the death knell for the Confederates. General Bragg claimed the victory and left the battlefield to retake Chattanooga from U.S. Grant; which he failed to do. Grant cleared Chattanooga for General Sherman to make his way through the south. 352 pages… (más)

The body of Angela Hartwell is found in the waters on a golf course, a year after the death of her husband.
With an overworked police department Harry Starke is asked solve the case. But with more murders, a possibly corrupt car dealership and bank officials who is the murderer or is their more than one.
At the beginning I did wonder if there was going to be too much description of golf playing, thankfully not.
