Super cute and fun, love the paranormal investigator vibes for a while, a little juvenile so I feel I’d have loved this as a teen, I might read the next one but it feels quite nicely tied together as a stand-alone anyway. Very neat and tidy little book, well written, good plot, characters etc.

Spirit Legacy
The Gateway Trilogy, Book 1
By: E. E. Holmes
Narrated by: Lyssa Browne
There is so many layers to this book! An orphan that starts to see ghosts when her mother dies. She moves to her aunt's house and then to a college dorm. There at the dorm she gets in trouble because she doesn't realize that the boy she talks about seeing is dead. It gets worse! Many twists and turns! Family secrets come to light. Very exciting! Going in my favorite file! Enjoyed it from the very beginning! Picked up book two!
Narration was terrific! Really added to the story!

This is the third and final book of this trilogy named "The Gateway". In the first book we were introduced to Jess (Jessica) and Hannah Ballard and we found out about their roles in the spiritual world. In the second book they are headed to Fairhaven to learn how to control and use their abilities. In this third book they leave Fairhaven running for their lives, with both the Durupinen and the Necromancers trying to capture them because the same prophecy. The Durupinen trying to prevent the prophecy to happen and the Necromancers trying to make sure it will happen. And in this particular world, you have all the good ingredients that make this story to be a magnificent end to this series. This is a very intense book, very well written, with a rich plot developed from the point where the second book finished, and all characters are very well developed. I loved everything about this story. The writing style is wonderful, very well revised and edited, plot flows in high action/thriller style and there is plenty of action that makes you read the book in one weekend, at the edge of your chair. I really recommend this book to the permanent library of any reader that likes action with paranormal activity. But I strongly recommend that you read the first two books of this trilogy before starting this third book, so you can savor all the details of this incredible masterpiece. Very well done!… (más)

This is the second book of this trilogy named "The Gateway". In the first book we were introduced to Jess (Jessica) and Hannah Ballard and we found out about their roles in the spiritual world. In this book they are headed to Fairhaven to learn how to control and use their abilities. Jess found out she is a Muse, while Hannah has a very particularly rare ability: she is a Caller. A faithful protector is introduced (Finn Carey) and alliances are settled. Other characters are also introduced, like Fiona, Savannah, Mackie, the Silent Child and many others. And in that particular world, intrigue, jealousy, friendship and an interesting prophecy are ingredients that make this story to be a magnificent sequel to the first book.

I can hardly wait until I put my hands on the third book (Spirit Ascendancy) of this trilogy (The Gateway Trilogy).
