Lillian Hoddeson

This biography doubles as a kind of exploration of "genius" by the authors. I could have done without their opinions and just had the biography, though. In a rather dry way the life and science of John Bardeen is presented with evidence of a large amount of research (quotations drawn from Bardeen's letters, his family's letters, and many interviews with associates). He was a very interesting man - the only person so far to win two Nobel Prizes in Physics.
