Disbelief 101: A Young Person's Guide to Atheism by S. C. Hitchcock is a book I requested from NetGalley and the review is voluntary.
I found this book to be excellent in teaching how not to be indoctrinated not only in regards to religion but political views and commercial views by using logic and reasoning. It shows how to not look for "divine voices" but facts and logic to make choices.
I too was a deeply devoted as a young girl and then started questioning things. Being a logic and science person, nothing was adding up. My parents were always big church goers until I took a stand then they quit going too. Were they only going because that's what they thought they were suppose to do? I had studied the bible and it had too many inconsistencies. I studied other religions, same there. The author seemed to have the same experience. This is an interesting and well thought out book. Made for young adults and teens but anymore with doubts, this is your book.… (más)
