W. W Heffelfinger

Being the memoirs of Pudge Heffelfinger, an important source for students of early football, as he is one of the very few nineteenth-century figures to leave very much in the way of written memories. Since he played professionally well into middle age, he has a lot to say about the game's evolution into its adolescence. It would be great to see a new edition of this come out with extensive illustrations.
