This was a fast paced read nonetheless I really enjoyed it. The characters had great chemistry and there were some funny moments, steamy moments, and a few dramatic moments. Rory was a great character who made you laugh and swoon, I enjoyed him. Amelia was sweet, yet she was starting to make me mad with the way she kept running away and keeping Rory at arms length but she finally came around and I can't wait to continue the series.

Wow, this book is written so badly. Page 2 BAMM practically a sex scene. Almost every second ;page is a sex scene. if i wanted to read so much sex scene's i would read 50 shades of grey. I think the under lying story is good and i would have liked it more had there not been soooooo many sex scene's in this book. Not going to finish this trilogy.

Loved this, can't wait for #2. I usually don't care for cliffhangers but this one has me on pins and needles. If you haven't read any Amanda Heartley books you're missing out!!

This book picks up where Audition left off. Annie seems to be making mistakes left and right. I really didn't like Marti~she struck me as being false or back stabbing type of person. I would definitely read more of this author's work in the future.

After inheriting her grandfather's farm Annie returns to her roots and starts a new life. She is thrilled that her old friend Meri is still there and they pick up the friendship right where they left off.
When she is frightened by a coyote she calls the police and discovers that the sheriff is a former classmate. Sparks fly and love is in the air.

Meri jealous that her friend is spending more time with the sheriff makes a bold move that will change the course of their friendship and their lives.
There were parts of the book that were too sexually explicit for my taste and I definitely would not recommend the book for younger readers.
The story line is unique and the author deserves praise for that. The book is not my style but that reflects my tastes not the quality of the writing.

This is an enjoyable and fast-paced piece of mild erotica from Amanda Heartley. It is the first story in the "Southern Belles" erotic romance series and revolves around waitress and aspiring Hollywood star Annabelle Gibbons. Annabelle is certain of her own talent but just needs a break and is getting weary of audition after audition. When she gets a call for a major role she finds herself losing her temper when casting agent Vicktor Rossen dismisses her performance. When Rossen's calls her back and makes her a "casting couch" offer Annabelle loses her temper again. On the upside she strikes up a friendship with Rossen's gay assistant Daveed, who shows Annabelle around a darker side of Hollywood and all the while Annabelle plots a devious revenge on Rossen. This is a fun little read with an engaging plot line and a nicely rounded and developed heroine. The story rushes along at a well sustained pace and is full of nice little bits of detail that cleverly add to the overall effect. Although hugely stereotypical, Annabelle's new gay friend Daveed is charming and fun and offers a great mechanism for pushing the plot forward. The story ends on a cliff-hanger and it will be interesting to see where Amanda Heartley takes Annabelle in the follow up story.

I rated this book a 3. It was a very fast read and definitely kept my interest. I actually finished this book in one day.

Enjoyed the book. Now I need to find the part 1 of Southern Belles. The author wrote with such clarity. The images of the characters made them likeable.

I enjoyed this book and the storyline. The lead female character was at times a little whiny and at others would make you laugh. The only problem I had was the secondary character Daveed was really overdone and fit every stereotypical comment ever made about gay people. Though he had funny moments and was loveable I just think the gay stereotype was overdone.

Good start to the series and I look forward to Annie's next adventure.

I began with book one in this series but this sequel can be read as a stand alone story. The characters bonds are well formed and the racier scenes are well written. The first book was all about leading up to the pivotal sex scene; whereas this one seemed to be one sex scene after the other. I look forward to reading more about these characters.
