We meet the manager and he is...the crazy uncle with all the bad puns. Just...this volume is 20% bad puns. But! We also meet a strange mystery man and meet our #1 business rival. Huzzah for new characters!

This series has 26 volumes.

One man's dream is passed down to a young boy. The dream to make the best bread in Japan. They call it Ja-pan. (Cause 'pan' means 'bread' in Japanese)

The characters are delightfully goofy yet charming. The plot is believable and interesting.
It's a more classic style of manga.

This series has 26 volumes.

A completely ridiculous, over-the-top manga about baking, centered around the search for Japan's own national bread, or Ja-pan. If you think that pun is bad, there are hundreds much worse.

Somehow I got hooked on the story after two volumes, though, bizarre as it is.

This volume features a cute contest against Pantasia's biggest rivals, St. Pierre. Still a light fluffy read that was highly enjoyable.

Cooking contest to see who will get an internship with a famous bakery chef. Main character only wants to make Ja-Pan. Not sure I understood whole thing, but certainly is about cooking!

The series is good but it feels too drawn out now. Not enough happens in this volume and it seems as if the staff are squeezing it out in small drips. It is time to move along as a quicker pace and reach the conclusion. There were some great puns such as the running gag about "baldy" losing his toupee. But, the pacing distracted me too much.
