To be honest, I didn’t even look at the description of this book before reading it. I’ve read some of Kay Harris’s other books, so I knew it would going to be good no matter what. Amy’s Wish did not disappoint! I loved it so much that I read it in 2 sittings! I started it at night and read until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer, then woke up and couldn’t stop reading until I finished the last page. This romance book was the story about Amy, a woman with no romantic experience and a traumatic past, and Carlos, a divorced, successful VP at the company she worked at. Amy’s inexperience gives the story a “first love” feel, while the age of the characters (early 30’s) also makes it feel like a “grown up” story too. Both of the main characters are very likable and real. The book has many steamy scenes, and the passage of time seems to flow naturally throughout the whole story. I was thrilled to see that this is the first book in a series that will follow some of the other characters in this book as well, because I definitely would like to read more!

I received a free advanced review copy of this book directly from the author, but my honest review is completely voluntary.

This book was fun to read. I really liked both of the main characters, and the story flowed well as a relationship developed between them. The book was a bit shorter than what I usually read, but it still felt like a complete story. Everything seemed to wrap up nicely by the end of the book while still giving a little hint about the 2nd book in the series. This is a great book to read during a lazy afternoon.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It follows Chelsea, the sister of Jack from the last book. Both Chelsea and Henry are such lovable characters. Even though they both come from wealthy, well known families, they are both down to earth and feel like you could be friends with them yourself. It was fun to watch the relationship between them develop into a very close friendship and beyond. Even though this is the 2nd book in the series, it could easily be a standalone book, though the first one is great too!… (más)

Love on the Rocks is a sweet romance between a famous rock star, Sean, and park ranger, Dani (aka "Baby"). If you've read "Lost on the Road to Love" by the same already, this is the story about Henry's parents.

Sean and Dani meet by chance at a diner - Dani needs a ride, and the rock stars enjoy her company enough to invite her onto their tour bus. From there, we follow the group as they tour from city to city performing concerts. What starts as just a friendship gradually builds up to something more. There are definitely some ups and downs along the way to keep things interesting: Dani has trouble adjusting to the fame and the constant competition. She also has a habit of running away from her problems, which can complicate things. Sean can be very overprotective, but I like that Dani is able to stand up to him about that.

Overall I enjoyed all the of the main characters in the story, and they felt genuine to me. I especially liked that Dani was such a strong female character. I found the book to be a quick read and hard to put down! The story takes place over the course of a couple months, and time flows seamlessly through the story. It is written in first person from Dani's point of view. I'm excited that this is a series so that I can continue to follow the characters and learn more about them!
