Baruch Halpern (Harvard 74) holds the Covenant Professorship in Religion at the University of Georgia, and was formerly Chaiken Family Chair of Jewish Studies and Professor of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and of Ancient History, at Penn State.
