The story talks more than just information about sharks. The book is divided into three story parts: shark watching, diving, the deep ocean. What I really liked reading was the part on page 58-59 where they discuss a diver's sensation being underwater. "Divers often first feel the early stages of the bends in their joints. Their arms or shoulders might start to ache. Some divers feel their skin start to itch. In extreme cases, a diver might think there are insects crawling all over his or her skin." I really liked this informational book because I thought it kept your interest really well. I liked the real photographs throughout the story. I like how the book offered pictures of not only sharks and people diving with sharks, but where they live, what they eat, and other interesting factual information about other extreme deep sea adventures. The illustrations also helped to keep the reader interested because it wasn't ever page after page of text, there were always images to break it up. I also really liked this book because it seemed to follow a logical progression of information instead of just jumping from fact to fact. For example, the book was organized into four different people's deep sea adventures so it flowed well between topics. I also enjoyed reading all the little fact bubbles throughout the book because it really added to the informational aspect of the story. The main idea of this book is to inform the reader about extreme deep sea adventures and facts about the animals and surroundings during these adventures.… (más)

This book is truly unique. Not only an engaging and fun story with a level headed, strong main character, but the illustrations are exquisite. I want to buy a hard copy of this book and use it as a coffee table book.

Each outfit Chloe and the others design, is illustrated in the book. The sketches are beautifully done, and the clothes are amazing. I would wear almost every single one of them. This makes the book different, and engages you even more into the story. I'm not sure why, because usually I don't need pictures to immerse myself in a book, but with this one I felt an even deeper connection.

About the text: I loved this book. Chloe is a great role model, and in the book she behaves maturely and with good judgement, but also how a real person her age would act. It's not preachy or overdone. I liked the adult characters around Chloe, and also her friends.
