What I said about part 1 goes for part 2 as well: short video snapshots (as the title says!) of the band and crew backstage, in concert, and on the road. Even being a hardcore fan is hardly enough to enjoy a full viewing. (Of course, neither video was ever released commercially, but only available by mail order directly from the band. I doubt they sold more than a few dozen copies.)… (más)

An unstructured, three-hour video diary from the European leg of à;GRUMH...'s 1989/1990 tour.

The problem is that this is mainly a memento for those who were there, i.e. the band, their crew, and their closest friends. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy seeing a few clips of the band live on stage, and occasionally we get to see Click Click who were co-headliners on the European leg. It's also fun to see Rodney Orpheus from The Cassandra Complex and Aldo and Dario from Borghesia showing up at gigs. But even for a hardcore fan like me, it gets too much after a relatively short while. The video consists nearly exclusively of short video snapshots: 30 seconds from the tour bus driving through Sweden or Germany, 30 seconds of the band drinking beer backstage, 20 seconds of "Ayatollah Jackson" live in Ljubljana, more tour bus, more backstage scenes, 30 seconds of another song live in Vienna... I have only watched it from start to finish once, 15 years ago, and that was quite enough.

Don't bother unless you're a completist like me, and even then you should think twice. Get the albums instead.… (más)
