My Thoughts...

I have read this book several times and have gotten so much from this beautiful read that this author has given us. I loved how this author gives us 'The Word of God' that deals with 'every area of ones lives: 'spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and financially' and being there for us no matter what one may be going though in our daily lives. The table of contents has it all there for ore to take in what one may need at that certain time ...with some of my favorites were: All Things Work Together, The Potter and the Clay, Alone, The Power of God, Been Through It, What Are You Here To Do? Remember Your History, Lose The Weight, Make Me, Mold Me, The Right Word, Praise God Through Your Storms, The Love Of God, How Long Will You Wait On God's Promises? The Word Of God, From This Day Forward and Giving Thanks and Not Just During Thanksgiving. Now, these are only just a few that have stick with me but there is so much from this good read that you will have to pick "May I Have A Word With You?" to see for yourself how much there is just for you. Thank you to the author for such a wonderful read with wonderful devotional selections that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.… (más)

Wings Of Grace by Vanessa Davis Griggs

My Thoughts...

All I can say is Author Vanessa Griggs is a wonderful story telling. She definitely gives her readers something good to read all the time. "Wings Of Grace" was absolutely a wonderful story fulled with a good story along with Biblical scriptures that went along with each chapter that showed 'love, unity, greed, romance, mystery, loyalty of family and true friends.' This is definitely a inspirational and intriguing christian fiction novel that will touch ones heart. This story really goes with the saying 'What is done in the dark will come to the light.'… (más)

Granted, Ms. Vanessa has been Blessed with a delightful imagination and I genuinely enjoyed her colorful characters; but I am of the old-school credo that believes stories should have a beginning (introduction to the characters), a middle (conflict), and, An End (climatic resolution of the conflict).
This story grabbed my interest and left me hanging, only to learn that I needed to read subsequent books to find out how these characters’ faired in their plights. Why not just put the entire story into one novel?
If this is a new-aged ploy to sell more books – I say “Bad idea!” I dare say that I’ll be on the lookout for this time-wasting trap in the future. I did LOVE the scripture beginning each chapter...SMILE!!!… (más)

"Countless Blessings" by Vanessa Davis Griggs

What I loved about this read....

"Countless Blessing" was another one of this author's novels that was simply a wonderful amazing and well written story and what put the icing on the cake. It featured one of my favorite characters the Landris family [Pastor Landris and Johnnie Mae plus their children Princess Rose and Isaiah]. I loved how this author starts out with each of her chapters stating with scriptures that really added to each up coming chapter with the readers receives such a powerful message. The readers will be caught up in the emotionalism of this read where one can be caught laughing, even tearing up and maybe shouting a hallelujah during a sermon. I liked seeing how Johnnie Mae was able to maintain her beautiful self in dealing with that sister and I will say I will stop here and say you must pick up the wonderful read to see how this author will bring it all out to the readers. It will be a interesting uplifting read. By the end of the read you will be left thinking this was definitely one of those good inspirational reads that this author does so very well.
