Obviously, in any anthology, it's going to be a bit hit or miss with respect to the individual essays. The right-ward slant of the volume was noticeable, though not overwhelming. I also felt it focused way too much on the hobby horses of immigration and multiculturalism -- obviously important issues, but not the whole hog. In particular, I'm not sure how one can have any discussion about citizenship in Europe without mentioning how the Holocaust has affected European conceptions of nationalism, and yet the entire book scarcely managed to even glance in a Jewish direction.
