In the early 1900s, S.D. Gordon was a widely traveled speaker in high demand. A prolific author, he wrote more than 25 devotional books, most with the phrase Quiet Talks in the title. His first book sold half a million copies over 40 years! He died in 1936. His quiet manner, simplicity, mostrar más illustrative quality, and gentle spirit won for him a great following wherever he went. Quiet Talks on Power was his first book, published in 1901. Gordon was then forty-two. His Quiet Talks on Prayer followed in 1904, and Quiet Talks about Jesus, in 1906. Altogether he produced 25 books mostrar menos

What it Will Take to Change the World por S. D. Gordon
In this short book Gordon shares a plan for world evangelism. It is very simple but effective plan that involves every Christian in some way. Prayer warriors are needed. So are financial supporters. And then there are the workers--people must talk about the Good News not only on foreign soil but also in the neighborhood, the next block, and the town square.
Great book. I really enjoyed it. Every believer would benefit from listening to this book.
Right behind E M Bounds for me--one of the best books I have found on prayer.
A friend recommended this book to me, I think mostly for the section in Part III that discusses if we can pray with assurance for the conversion of our loved ones. At times, I found the author's style easy to understand and other times, I struggled to discern what he wanted to convey.
