Les enfants du silence por Ji-young Gong
Le sujet du livre est intéressant, notamment pour voir comment les décisions de chacun pour son propre confort, sa réputation, etc. amènent la société a ne plus protéger les plus faibles de ses membres. Un phénomène à l’œuvre sur de nombreux sujets... mais le livre semble mal écrit... un problème de traduction ?

Jamais un manga ne m'a touché à ce point, ou ne m'a fait autant pleurer. C'est incroyable à quel point, jusqu'à la dernière page, on a envie de s'accrocher à un miracle qui ne peut pas arriver. Je le recommande à tous ceux qui ont le cœur suffisamment bien accroché pour le lire.
Our Happy Time is a wonderful redemptive story, and from a very unusual angle and perspectives. While the author does a wonderful job of connecting the reader to the characters so that their transformations are all that more dramatic, I wish that I was able to feel more. It is very likely that there was something lost in the translation.
This has been the year of delicate, perfect, death-row stories for me. Stories that gripped me and held tight, even when I was crying angry tears and railing against the injustice of it all. OUR HAPPY TIME by Gong Ji-young is the perfect knitting together of the stories of two people who could not be more different: Yujeung and Yunsu. My initial impression is that both of these characters were young, but as the story develops it is revealed that they are, in fact, adults. The rich development and emotional tension of this book depends on that age, so don't let initial impressions fool you.
