More of a James Bond spy novel than a sea story. I lost interest after 50 pages.

WW2 ends with Todd in the Pacific. Quickly, he becomes part of the early intervention in Japan and the surrender ceremony. Ready to head home, he gets involved in a Russo-Japanese conflict about some Northern islands. Choosing sides becomes easy as the Russians try to assassinate him. The last battles of WW@ take place with the US and Japan taking on the Russians. A slam-bang finish to Todd's work in this war.

This series continues to produce good stories about the War in the Pacific. This one focuses on the development and introduction of the proximity fuse as an antiaircraft weapon. Still lively and interesting characters connected by a brief but factual skein of important military history.

Another good tale about the War in the Pacific. Todd is heading for a furlough at home when his ship is attacked and he is blown overboard. Picked up by a Japanese submarine; he is treated in their typical brutal w fashion hile this ship pursues an unusual mission. Lots of action and intrigue before it all comes to an end on a French Island in the Pacific.
