picture book with singing.
I only read this once for a 3rd grade class; they liked it OK--I can't tell if they were quiet because they are a quiet class, or if the maybe didn't like it as much as I thought they would. Will try it again maybe with a different class.

Humorous story about a man at a restaurant who says he cannot eat his soup. The waiter leaves and brings in the chef, who must bring in a policeman, who must bring in the mayor, who must bring in the president... to address the problem. The diner only keeps repeating that he cannot eat the soup. Ultimately the diner admits the reason-- he has no spoon!
