Sometimes the right book falls into your hands (or onto my Kindle, in this case) just when you need it. Hank Garner's Bloom is a beautiful book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and he had words in there that I needed to hear (or read, as the case may be). In Bloom, the world isn't teetering on the brink of disaster, a serial killer isn't on the loose, and James Bond isn't needed to win the cold war. But Bloom will leave a bigger smile on your face and touch your heart. If you don't believe me, read it for yourself and just see if I'm not right.… (más)

What do you do if you have writer’s block and your latest manuscript is already overdue?
What do you do if you buy an old manual typewriter at a yard sale and discover that whatever story you write there seems to come true?

This delightful, well-told tale, with its plot twists and an unexpected surprise or two, captures the reader’s interest from the beginning and keeps the pages turning right up to the unexpected ending readers won't see coming.

Recommended.

This is a fun story about a couple guys who are making their living by debunking mysterious happenings across the nation. So far, everything they've come across has a good explanation. Their next destination is Weston, Mississippi, and upon arrival, they receive various warnings that this story is true. But Daryl and Eddie have heard this before.

The Hearafter is a well-told, enjoyable story that you don't want to miss out on.

Like other reviewers, Mulligan, by Hank Garner, is an enjoyable novel of second chances via traveling through time. Did anyone else notice that Mulligan’s wife’s name is Sarah, while his first name is Connor? This book is a fast read, and you keep wanting to find out what’s going to happen next. The first two scenarios were flushed out rather well, but the third felt like a rush. As we delve further into Connor Mulligan’s story, we empathize with him more and more, and want to learn the mystery that is happening in his strange life.

This is the first book I’ve read by Garner, and I plan on reading more.
