The Revolution Continues: New Art in China (The… por Saatchi Gallery
Chinese art has emerged after years of containment by the strictures of the national ideology. But it is changing so fast, the Western art world has little means of assessing or understanding its background. The Revolution Continues provides a link between the rebellious current generation of artists and the mood of rebellion during the Cultural Revolution.
“Pangaea II” is the second installment of Saatchi Gallery‘s museum-scale survey of contemporary art from Africa and Latin America. The exhibition features 19 artists from the two continents and runs until September 2015.
“Pangaea” is a 20th-century word referring to a 270-million-year-old supercontinent – a prehistoric land mass containing all of today’s continents, including the then-conjoined Africa and Latin America. Saatchi Gallery reunites the former sister continents by surveying contemporary art from the two regions, exploring “notions of cultural hybridity, identity and socio-economic conflict”, according to the press release.… (más)

I don't like everything in this survey of contemporary American abstract art, but it is a good selection and some of it is interesting. Since it is pretty much all pictures, it's easy to read too!
