An underrated delight. It's got the bones of a Hallmark holiday movie, but padded out with rich characters and intricate family dynamics that keep it interesting, funny, and even heartwarming long after the happy ending becomes predictable. The acting is flawless, which probably goes without saying considering the cast. One standout is the aunt, who might have come off as a cliched afterthought, but is imbued with genuine pathos by Geraldine Chaplin.

Excellent drama. Suspense filled and action packed. Great editing and acting. Jodie Foster, Naveen Andrews and cast fitted superbly into drama. Makes you think about human nature, revenge and vigilantes, morality of murder, an eye for an eye and how easy it is to kill but violence changes you forever. Great New York scenes in Spanish Harlem. A tribute to the director, although I would not always be able to understand the street language, the film made language perfectly clear. This is no small feat and it was still a believeable drama.
