'Founded in 1983 by a group of Vancouver artists, the Or Gallery Society is a non-profit society and artist run centre supporting exhibits and artists whose work is critically, issue, and/or conceptually based. The mandate of the Or gallery is to provide a non-profit that benefits the community as a whole, providing exhibition space to loca and out-of-the-region contemporary artists, particularly those who make experimental art their practice.'
