Biografía breve
I was born and raised in Louisville, (“Lou-a-vull”), Kentucky. Like any good Kentucky-born girl, I grew up drawing horses. My love of art led me to Murray State University, where I earned a degree in Fine Art / Graphic Design.

I worked as a graphic designer in the corporate world until 1997, when I went solo with Driscoll Creative. Since then, I've enjoyed the flexibility of writing, illustrating, and designing from home, with the added perk of working in my pajamas.

When I had children, I rediscovered my love of picture books, and found my true passion.

I am a proud member of SCBWI (the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators).

From my home in Fisherville (a suburb of Louisville), I write, illustrate, and design. Often while wearing pajamas.

A very sweet, warm little book about sharing stories and reading together. There was nothing that was a huge standout in it, but just a cute little story about stories!

Ok.

That about sums this book up.

The storyline is arbitrary. It's not super engaging. I tried making it as if the storytime kids were telling Klondike what to do but I did not get the reaction I wanted.

This will not be a reread. Nothing against it. But it is as they say "so many books, so little time"

This one had super cute illustrations, and the kids had fun. That being the case, I was kind of expecting a different resolution.

If I could give more stars than five, I certainly would! This is not only a delightful tale about the trials a young dragon has trying to read, it is beautifully and cleverly illustrated so that the pictures tell more story than the the words alone. Also, it happens to be about some of my favorite things, dragons, reading, and mice.
