Meghan Shelby has inherited the family home from her Aunt Beth and she is planning to stay. On her arrival the only employment ad that interests her is for school secretary and who should the principal be but the boy of her dreams, Patrick.

When she stops by the house to check its condition, she finds a body and it keeps going downhill from here, it seems someone in town doesn’t like her.

Romance and a murder. Fast relaxing read with lots of threads to follow.

I wondered all through the book why it got such poor reviews and I think it was because of the way it ended. It was just too "neat" wrapped up to quickly, the main characters didn't really work out their problems. They had a quick convo and it was over.

It is a nice story and maybe it deserves more then 3 stars as a story, but the shadow people were a small part of the story. I thought the story was about the shadow people and couldn't really concentrate on the story wondering were they were.

I totally LOVED reading this novel! Roseanne Dowell has seasoned skills and can truly grip her reader from the moment the read the first word. I was captured from that moment until I read the last word, and I didn't want the story to end! It was amazingly written and the characters became my friends. I wanted to stay alongside the wonderful people in the town of Twinsburg.

Twinsburg hadn't seen a crime in more than 10 years. So, why is it starting now, with Kate's friend Emma being kidnapped? And, why is she feeling a deep connection to the detective assigned Emma's case? Other than the fact that he happens to be her EX-fiance, who left her two days before their wedding, 5 years ago. But, that's not to explain the passionate sparks that fly between Kate and Emma's brother Mark Whestfield. What is going on with Kate TWO attractions, one she thought she was over and one so fresh and new that she doesn't know what's going on in her heart! It's too much trouble!

While Kate has two guys vying for her attention, no one in the town of Twinsburg suspected there could ever be a murder.....no one, that is except the Alzheimer patient in the Nursing home across the street from the Cemetery. No one would believe her, since she was always telling stories. But, when Kate goes to have a visit to her aunt's grave, she discovers the young woman with the red hair. Under a bush, and strangled to death. Once again, Adam and Mark are vying for Kate's protection and attention as the investigation rolls out.

So, what happens when the murder victims TWIN sister, Tracie shows up into to finalize her sisters death? Will she be able to find the needed clues to solve her sisters murder? Will she be able to win Adam's heart?

I want to tell you so much more about this awesome book, but I can't! I want YOU to get a copy, sit down, and get lost among the words and sweet characters of this book. Roseanne Dowell used the right amount of romance, suspense, humor and witty characters and blended then in to a fast-paced, incredible romantic suspense novel. Definitely 5 stars and high praise recommendation from me!! I can't wait to read another book by this talented lady!
