Domenico Capilongo

I loved this book! Well over 100 short poems, each inspired by a word which was added to The Merriam-Webster Dictionary the year of Capilongo's birth: 1972. The poems are 'memory nuggets,' remembrances 'dug up' from the first seven year's of the poet's life. The images, portraits, and 'stories' created by these poems paint a vivid and evocative portrait of growing up in a certain place, time, and culture. Highly recommend!
