4 Town is the band in the Turning Red Disney movie. This graphic novel is about the band. However, I’m not exactly sure who the audience for this graphic novel is. At times it feels like it is for a middle grade however, with the “Dad” issues and the meet cute love interest feel makes it feel more adult. This is one of those things that I think is It’s meant for about six grade and that’s who will read it. I would much rather read about the characters from Turning Red, which I think was a fantastic story.… (más)

But It’s admirable and cute that the author tried to give them some depth. One of the members is actually a father, another has expectations from his parents to live up to, and another is jealous and has a one-sided rivalry with the band leader. The artwork is like a beautiful shoujo and 4Town looks like fashionable princes.
