Thomas J. Dimsdale (1831–1866)

Mr, Dimsdale was on the staff of the Governor of Montana, and could research this journalistic account of the bad old days in Virginia, Montana, and the eventual clean-up of the town and environs. This is a useful book to study in search of the better part of the American character in its better moments.
