Biografía breve
In the usual weird and typical way, I grew up a denizen of the Southern California suburbs. Read a lot as a kid: Oz, comic books, Tom Swift ; and what was then mainstream science fiction by once well-known authors who are now lost in the mist (eg, Clifford Simak, Eric Frank Russell, Edmond Hamilton, Fritz Lieber). And then those pulpish magazines like AMAZING, FANTASTIC, FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION, IF. And the collected Freud. Because it promised to talk about...Stuff.

That brings us up to age 12.

I was not so much a nerd as a doofus. Big distinction.

So we get to adolescence, ERB, Lost in Space, Star Trek, all that. And that's pretty much where I am, except the calendar has leapt forward radically. I am now living in the future. Where is that air-cushion vehicle they promised?

Various jobs. No career. No marriage to any known gender. Not much money. Sense of humor of the dry ironic kind. Very strong interest in "real" philosophy, physics, many such things.

And now, an author on Amazon. What kind of stuff? A huge panoply of my "Tom Swift reimagined!" novels. A parapsychology book. A collection of rare H.G. Wells fiction. Reimaginings of some obscure PD materials, with an eye to make outdated "wholesome" adventure fiction appealing to tween readers who need to know that there's more out there than Harry. This is my "YOUNG & SMART series." Fans of my Swift books will find some enjoyable titles there.

Great voice, great eyes, and unlike many authors who exist by virtue of PhotoShop and Google Translate, I really do exist. I hope you do too.
