This novel, I found to be very in depth. At times it was very scary to know that someone who on the outside is a normal every day person, but inside, they are the cruelest monster you could ever imagine. I enjoyed the characters and their interaction, their struggles and how they overcame. Will definately read more in this series.

4389. "Never Too Late A Prosecutor's Story of Justice in the Medgar Evers Case, by Bobby DeLaughter (read 29 Nov 2007) I finished reading this great book on Nov 29, 2007. It is written by one of the main prosecutors of Byron De La Beckwith and tells the tremendously exciting story of Beckwith's third trial for the murder of Medgar Evers. It seems to be the perfect account of a prosecution which redeemed Mississippi from the stigma of not having brought to justice the murderer of Evers, who was gunned down outside his home in Jackson, Mississippi, on June 12, 1963. I found the book enthralled me totally, and the description of the final argument in the case and of the events during jury deliberations and the rendering of the verdict is as good an account of the drama as could be written. This is a better book than In Cold Blood because this book is literally true and the case and the trial are far more important to the history of justice than Capote's book's trial.… (más)
