Jean Deeds

This is a very interesting narration of a hiker's journey. It is not as dramatic as some but still well written with highs and lows during the journey. As all long trail journals, this one also reflects on the inner determination needed for such a long and difficult commitment.

This is the best book I've read about a woman hiking the Appalachian Trail. It was well written and very imformative and it made me feel like I really COULD hike the trail if I wanted to (which I do).
