I liked the world-building and I liked the characters but I just wasn’t into the book. I was always wondering how much longer until I was done. Maybe the next in the series will keep my attention.

This is a new author to me. I found myself pleasantly surprised at how well crafted this story was. I'm not normally a fan of fantasy type romance but this blurb drew me in. I'm glad I gave it a shot. Great world-building, interesting characters and a plausible storyline that really worked.
I'm normally a girl that likes the steamy times rather than fade to black but I put that aside for this story because it truly was well written. I will look for more from this series.… (más)

Fantastic world-building and storyline that keeps me flipping the pages as fast as I can. I'm entrenched in this world and love seeing where the author is taking me.
This is not romance with steamy scenes, but it is romance. I loved watching these characters navigate their feelings as the story progressed.

This is a very cute novella and it was fun to read. It's a prequel and it focuses on the 2 main characters and their immediate location, without going into too much detail about things outside the scope of the story. The world seems interesting and I'm excited to learn more about it in the next book.
The main characters are great. Colette tends to act before she thinks, which is annoying, but she's badass and I like her. Sven is also badass and likable. They have good chemistry, but I think that the romance would have benefited from a longer book.… (más)
