Biografía breve
As a child he came to Iran with his family and completed his primary to secondary education (ninth grade) in Alborz school. He studied in Italy for about 2 years and in England for 3 years and went to America for 14 years and obtained his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in the field of economics from Berkeley University of California in 1971, when he became interested in Ismaili studies.

He then returned to Iran and worked for a while in the Program and Budget Organization and the Central Bank of Iran and taught at Shahd Beheshti University.

He went to England and began teaching and researching as a professor of Ismaili History at the London Institute of Ismaili Studies.

This authoritative book traces the history and doctrinal development of the Isma'ili movement from its origins to the present day, a period of twelve centuries.
