The Story of English: Third Revised Edition por Robert McCrum
A good overview of the history and continued evolution of the English language, and a good accompaniment to the television series.
Very interesting book on how English developed over the years. The PBS series is also good.
Fascinating book, fascinating series. I check it out from the library every year.
