Corvus Belli

4th edition of this fast-moving science fiction skirmish game. This is a slipcase with both the Rules and the Core Book, which describes the universe and factions. The rules part can also be downloaded for free from Corvus Belli's website. Both the game and its fictional background set 180 years from now are interesting. The future history and factions are believable and diverse, with traces of recognition from today's world. The game itself is designed for urban-style small scale skirmishes between squads or at most platoons of science-fictional troopers -- a maximum of fifteen figures per side on a smallish table. The game has the concept of Reactions, so that your opponent can react to your actions in a limited way during your turn, making the game rarely stand still for either player. Good artwork with an anime sensibility caps it off.… (más)
