Just outstanding from start to finish. The dialogue is crisp and clear, the pacing is well-balanced, and the art is beautiful. It has a vaguely Victorian feel, but is set in a fantasy world which allows a boy with feathers to exist. The end leaves the reader with more questions than answers, and I would have liked a little more detail on the antagonist, but it definitely leaves you hungry for more.

Ooh, I want more of this! The art style is charming.

The story is quite generic. The only reason this is 4 stars is because the art is gorgeous.

It's been a while since I read the first issue but It didn't take me long to jump back into the scheme of things. Our boy Abel finally got away from his dad and is staying with other people. However, he gets extremely angry and destruction occurs. He runs away with the fox and tries to find a cure for his condition. Wonderful story and great illustrations.
