A good description of using grammars to describe the syntax (and even semantics) of programming languages. Describes two-level VanWijngaarden grammars and gives some impressive examples. Note that this book does not discuss techniques for machine parsing. There are a couple of places which are rather hard to follow. I suspect that these are cases where the authors used the terminology from the original papers on a subject rather than doing their own rewording, as most of the book is quite readable.… (más)
