Cover gilt title has a Crab for the C in Creole, Crawfish for the C in Cookery. So well done. Three books of Creole cookery appeared in 1885, this being one of the finest offerings. Rare and sought after.
update of 1885 version with some excerpts
CWE founded 1881, pub 1st ed 1885, see entry, then produced 2nd 1968, 3rd 1969 and this ed 1974. Does not resemble the original.
