The link for this book takes readers to the 3rd grade version - I won the 4th grade version for free in exchange for an honest review.
The activities and problems in this book are great for an advanced fourth grader, and even for third graders who are highly gifted/advanced. I'm able to challenge my high ability learners and correlate to our math topics. Great resource!

Received this a couple years ago from Early reviewers - thank you so much! My son used it and he told me he was really happy with it. When he graduated 5th grade, we gave it away for someone else to use and enjoy!

This math is definitely more advanced than I would expect for the 5th grade, but it makes sense when you understand that it would be for advanced and gifted students. I think the instructions were ok. This isn't the type of book that I normally review, but I felt that it was fine.

This book is a book of activities to be used in addition to your traditional curriculum. The activities require prior knowledge of the topics, there are no explanations in the book of the content just exercises. With that being said, the activities are engaging and require a little more complex thinking. Most require partners so this isn't good for a single kid to work through. There is a activity, practice and assessment for each unit in each chapter. The units are as follows: 1. operations and algebraic thinking, 2. number and operations in base ten, 3. number and operations-fractions, 4. measurement and data and 5. geometry. I think for the right audience this could be a good addition. I could see using these with a small group of advanced math learners.… (más)
