This is one of those books, you can't read before the preuquel (those who wait)
I really enjoyed this one. It has a big contrast from the first one. TWW was a slow burn wheew. But I enjoyed it. This one is fast paced and you get to see them grow.

I didn't dislike this book, but I must admit that the "friends to lovers" trope isn't my favorite. While I understand the relatability of having a crush on a friend, I've found myself not fully connecting with this storyline. Perhaps it's a personal bias.
Having read many of Haley Cass's books, this one, unfortunately, ranks as the least enjoyable for me. Despite some genuinely funny moments that made me laugh, it didn't capture the same level of enjoyment as her other works. Admittedly, this might be influenced by my preference for storylines.
On a positive note, the book is undeniably well-crafted, polished, and seamlessly ties in with characters from previous Haley Cass novels. The consistency in quality is commendable.

Torturously slow-burn, adorable, hot and everything I wanted it to be. I had a great time, the book covers around a years time so let me repeat- s l o w b u r n -I am right there with Abbacado shipping these two and just begging for them to realise they’re perfect for each other, head-over-heels and just goddamn jump each other already

This was a fun one.
one of the FMC's is experienced and the other is a baby queer. one is a politician the other is a literature student. It is one hell of a slow burn, but I think it's worth it. It's so corny and they sometimes lay it on thick but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I think this will be a relatable one to a few.
side note: I was massively side-eyeing them at the museum.
