First Time Cake Decorating: An Absolute Beginner’s Guide
I Picked Up This Book Because: While I’ve been baking for a while I want to expand on my skills in cake decorating so I chose to start at the beginning.
The Story:
This book is very well set up for beginners. Everything is labeled and explained precisely. There are clear step by step instructions and tons of great tips and tricks. I have a ton of things I want to try and I think these instructions will help my attempts be successful.

This book covers every aspect of cookie decorating, from providing several good recipes for making your rolled cookie "canvas" to comparing and explaining each of the major decorating techniques (piping, brush embroidery, fondant, flooding, stencils, buttercream, etc.) Her step by step instructions are easy to follow, and her tips can help even a novice turn out adorable cookies. This is an excellent book, not only for beginners, but for anyone looking for great cookie decorating ideas.
